Matzo Brei, if you are unfamiliar, is a breakfast dish made from matzo and eggs.
It can be sweet or savory, made like a pancake or a scramble, be dry and crispy or wet and soft. As a public dissenter of wet and soft foods, you may guess I’d favor the dry and crispy version but I am full of surprises.
I didn’t know the “other” (sweet, pancake) version of matzo brei existed till about 2013 and I haven’t thought about it since. This one (savory, scramble) is made of fried onions with just enough egg to bind them to the delicately soaked matzo. It’s got a lot of butter and I like to eat mine with sour cream (full-fat Greek yogurt is fine, sour cream is better), but you can feel free to dress it like a latke, which means it’s also great with things like applesauce, lox or salmon roe.
My dad has never even considered sprinkling his with dill or chives, but as the heir to his matzo brei throne it is my duty to add both (optional, though). Be sure to season it with lots of black pepper— it really goes the distance here.

If the idea of a sheet pan dinner does not excite you, trust me, I am right there with you. But this one feels different. Here, a chicken is roasted on a sheet pan (sheet pan dinner!), but instead of leaving the juices and sticky bits behind to be washed away in your kitchen sink, they're deglazed with vinegar, raw garlic and crushed olives and scraped up to make a gloriously tangy sauce. This gives you all the benefits of a skillet chicken, but made on a sheet pan. It tastes complex, *sophisticated*, and like you for sure put so much more effort into it than you actually did, and we love that! The quickness and ease of sheet pan roasting combined with the flavorful sauciness of a skillet sear? Swipe right, subscribe, etc!
As for the chicken you’re using— I like to use a whole bird cut up into ten pieces (two legs, two thighs, two wings, two breasts cut in half) because I think that everyone should get the piece of chicken they want (I enjoy a wing and a thigh, thanks). But if you’re wanting to just do thighs and legs, or perhaps breasts only, you should!
If you don’t like olives, I am shocked you’ve read this far. But truly, they are as important as the chicken here and make up the lion’s share of the actual sauce. THAT SAID! You could simply only use the herbs here (parsley, cilantro, a mix), or take a number of quick-cooking/already cooked vegetables and use them to make this sauce, too. Thinly sliced fennel, boiled and crushed potatoes, capers, fresh cherry tomatoes all come to mind.

Short ribs, great for Passover, wonderful for Easter, perfect for literally any day of the week where you feel like tending lovingly to a large pot of meat. These short ribs are not the classic soupy, red wine-y, soft and braised number, more of a spiced (cumin, fennel, coriander), tangy (vinegar, lemon), and even *crispy* (yes, crispy!) version.
If the idea of cooking large hunks of meat terrifies you, please know you are not alone. But also know that short ribs are nearly impossible to overcook and are extremely forgiving. Regardless of how you treat them, they will likely turn out pretty great, because that’s just the kind of meat short ribs are. Short ribs, in many ways, are the Aidan Shaw of meats. Dependable. Classic. Super hot. Would probably fix your sink if you asked them to.
The nice thing here is that while this is, essentially, a pot of “meat and potatoes,” it still feels kind of fresh to me (both literally and figuratively). Literally because of the vinegar and finely chopped lemon (preserved lemon would be a good substitute if you’re looking for ways to use that jar up), figuratively because I’m not asking you to do the classic “make a mirepoix” then add an entire bottle of dry red wine.
Just know before going in that they DO braise for a small eternity. They braise until you think they can’t braise anymore and then you braise them a little longer until they all but fall apart when you so much as look in their direction (if, for some reason, you think your short ribs are too tough and somehow *overcooked*, I would wager to guess they are actually *undercooked* and would like you to keep cooking).
The last step before serving, wherein the perfectly tender and adequately cooked short ribs are uncovered to crisp up the ribs and potatoes and further thicken and reduce the sauce increases cooking time by about 30-ish minutes, which is the best 30-ish minutes you’ll ever spend, I promise. These are a lot, flavor and texture-wise, and but because they are a one-pot meat and potatoes kind of dish, they don’t need much more than a good tangy salad and a light, maybe chilled, red wine.

ДВА РАЗА ПОДРЯД автодилер Борисхоф на 29 км. МКАД разбил автомобиль BMW X6M моего клиента при проведении разнообразных работ!!! Первоначально дилер стукнул БМВ на парковке при проведении ТО, к чести дилера сообщил об этом клиенту, помимо бесплатной перекраски подарил клиенту сертификат на покрытие автомобиля керамикой и при проведении этих работ… снова стукнул BMW о другой припаркованный клиентский автомобиль! Тоже кстати БМВ.
В этом ролике мы проводим оценочную экспертизу, в рамках которой устанавливаем стоимость замены повреждённых деталей, а также я расскажу вам , что делать, если вы попали в такую же ситуацию.
Есть такое замечательное Постановление Правительства РФ от 11.04.2001 N 290 (ред. от 31.01.2017) "Об утверждении Правил оказания услуг (выполнения работ) по техническому обслуживанию и ремонту автомототранспортных средств" пункт 36 которого гласит, что в случае полной или частичной утраты (повреждения) принятого у потребителя автомототранспортного средства (запасных частей и материалов) исполнитель обязан известить об этом потребителя и в 3-дневный срок передать безвозмездно в собственность потребителю автомототранспортное средство (запасные части и материалы) аналогичного качества либо возместить в 2-кратном размере цену утраченного (поврежденного) автомототранспортного средства (запасных частей и материалов), а также расходы, понесенные потребителем.
То есть, в случае повреждения вашего автомобиля при проведении работ, вы можете взыскать с дилера не только двойную стоимость повреждённых деталей, но и ваши затраты на проведение экспертизы повреждений! Но, не забывайте передавать автомобиль дилеру в чистом виде, с указанием его состояния в акте осмотра! Иначе доказать потом факт того, что автомобиль был повреждён именно у дилера, будет крайне проблематично.

From the countryside to the city, from summer to winter, in the coming cold season Lus Carvalho proposes a return to a cool and urban style, with the work "Long Term Parking" by French-American artist Armand Pierre Fernandez as the starting point, which results in 60 cars stacked on 18,000 kg of cement.
This monument proposes straighter, blocky forms, as well as a layering concept conveyed by the building of the parts or even the style.
A bespoke pattern inspired by the automobiles in this piece is also included.
Taffetas, jacquards, and pied-de-poule fabrics are used in neutral hues like grey, ecru, and black, as well as two opposing colors: orange and petrol blue.
